Our Active Efforts
From Intent to Reality

Project Suri
In May 2023, PayNet piloted Cambah with SURI, a social enterprise empowering B40 mothers through a three-month craftsmanship programme. The programme equips women with skills to produce quality products under the SURI Lifestyle brand, fostering resilience and supporting sustainable growth in their community.
With PayNet Cambah’s support, SURI worked with luxury hotels in Langkawi to give discarded linens new life as tote bags, batik items and pouches. The same hotels now buy these products, completing a meaningful cycle of sustainability.
This collaboration turns waste into value, empowers mothers and preserves local artistry. By bridging communities, businesses and social enterprises, PayNet Cambah empowers impact-driven models like SURI where every stitch tells a story of resilience, dignity and hope.

White Space Resources
In August 2024, PayNet Cambah and White Space Resources, a UTHM-linked social enterprise, launched the Johor Entrepreneurship Lab (JEL) through Dapo Rakyat. The initiative trained 31 B40 food entrepreneurs from Johor in business fundamentals before digitalisation.
With support from universities, banks, Bank Negara Malaysia and AKPK, the programme aims to build Batu Pahat into a “10-minute town”, creating a fully cashless ecosystem where everyday essentials are within easy reach. For many participants, it was their first step toward sustainable growth. One entrepreneur even grew her monthly income from under RM200 to RM18,000 within three months.
Through partnerships like this, PayNet Cambah and White Space Resources are helping small business owners gain the confidence, knowledge and support to thrive in a digital economy.
